From the late seventies and early eighties, more people began to consider home schooling. In 1983 a new magazine was published called the Home Education Magazine. In the mid 1980s the tax law for Christian private schools was changed and many of the smaller schools were forced to close. This left parents with a choice to enroll kids into the public school system or begin to home school.
